Safe Working at Height Training

Overview

The Safe Working at Height Training course is designed for anyone working at height, this includes but is not limited to those involved in roofing, guttering, solar panel installation, display work, excavations, machine maintenance, scaffolding, vehicle unloading and shelf stacking.

Unfortunately working at height continues to be a high risk activity which can result in serious injuries and fatalities. Having an incident through lack of training or bad practise can do untold damage to your reputation as well as personal trauma for all those involved.

According to Work at Height Regulations 2005 any employee engaged in any work at height activity must be competent to do so and it the employers responsibility to provide adequate training. Apart from helping you to meet your legal obligations, our training gives practical ways of assessing and minimising risks.

Content

Upon successful completion of the course candidates will have gained practical skills and knowledge about:

  • The Work at Height Regulations 2005 and its implications
  • How to undertake a risk assessment
  • Using equipment safely
  • Safe working practises whilst working at height
  • The use of PPE and safety harnesses
  • Precautions to take when working on or near fragile surfaces
  • Avoiding danger from falling objects
  • The safe use of ladders and stepladders
  • Emergency evacuation and rescue procedures

Summary

Delivered by health and safety experts this invaluable training course will enable you to fulfil your legal requirements in terms of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 as well as enabling you to promote safe working practices. Candidates will be issued with an in-house certification by KH Plant Training LTD upon successful completion of the course.
