KH Plant Training Ltd

About Kieron Honeyman

After serving ten years in The Duke of Wellingtons regiment as an infantryman and delivering a vast amount of training on small arms weapon systems, armoured personnel carrier, turret gun and battle group thermal imagery systems, entering a new career path into the construction world appeared a daunting prospect. However, I finally found my feet operating heavy construction plant in varied operational environments such as demolition, earth moving, ground works and the rail industry. After many years working in this industry, I followed my previous path from my military career back in to an instructional role and was lucky enough to work with two of the country’s leading providers of both construction and logistical training which enabled me to increase my skill set not only for construction plant but also into the health and safety world.

I set up KH Plant Training in 2014, initially working alongside a handful of small companies. The business became a limited company in 2015 which saw clients grow as well as employed staff.  I was accredited to deliver more training during these years to enable us to try and be that one stop shop for our clients both new and existing. The year 2020 saw KH Plant heighten in to an established, busy working accredited training centre where we now employ 12 full time trusted, dedicated hard working members of staff, 4 of whom are also veterans as well as the use of trusted freelance veteran instructors to help with the ever growing demand and need for training & testing.

In addition to managing and directing the company and staff, I continue to utilise all my skills and deliver instruction, assessment, quality assurance and tuition to the very best of my ability in all areas of heavy construction plant, general health and safety training/consultancy, company advice and representation.
