Overview

The aim of the scissor lift training course is to provide candidates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to equip them to safely operate a scissor lift.

Validated by the RTITB (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) the course involves a combination of classroom based learning and practical exercises and is suitable for experienced candidates requiring a refresher and bringing up to date with current legislation as well as novice operatives.

  • Pre-start inspection and maintenance
  • The use of PPE
  • The impact of weather conditions
  • Overhead obstructions and trapping dangers
  • Spatial awareness
  • Shut-down procedures and checks
